Starting from Capitanata, which houses Roman settlements, we move south, to the Archaeological Park and Antiquarium of San Leucio in Canosa di Puglia, which provides evidence of the cult of Minerva. In the Antiquarium and archaeological area of Canne della Battaglia it is possible to relive, through historical reconstructions, the victory of the Carthaginians led by Hannibal in the famous battle with the Romans in 216 BC. The Jatta Museum and the Monte Sannace Archaeological Park in Gioia del Colle collect other important finds from this period. The journey continues with the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto, rich in Roman and pre-Roman masterpieces; proceeding further we arrive at the "Giuseppe Andreassi" National Museum and the Archaeological Park of Egnazia di Fasano, where traces of the ancient Messapians can be seen. Stopping at the Sigismondo Castromediano Provincial Museum, the oldest apulian museum, we end the tour with the Archaeological Museum of Ugento where we admire the reconstruction of the famous “Tomb of the Athlete”.
